World T20 Day 6

Published by Shane Warne

Australia V Bangladesh

With Australia in all sorts of trouble at 6/65 after 13 overs, Bangladesh had every right to be excited.

M. Hussey and Steve Smith then set about the recovery. They blasted 74 off the next 7 overs to see Australia to a defendable total.

Whilst Mr Cricket has been providing these sort of recoveries for years, it was no less impressive a performance to that of the youngster.

They were both great and continued the Australian tradition of someone always stepping up when required. Rarely has Australia not recovered from a bad start!!

The Australian Bowlers then backed up the recovery with a strong performance. They were lead by an inspired spell from Dirk Nannes, he is getting better all the time and is just so hard to get away. Through in that he also takes wickets and he would have to be in the best few T20 bowlers in the world!

Watch out, the Aussies are looking good and are only going to get better!

Afghanistan V South Africa

There isn’t a lot to say about this match unfortunately, South Africa just did what they had to do in a very even team performance.

I am sure they have done their homework after the Indian loss and are setting themselves to reach the final.

My tips for the Semis are Australia, India, South Africa and the Windies to just edge out the Kiwis for the last spot. I am not sure if this is possible with the draws, if not, then someone may get through with a bit of luck!!
