What a comeback

Published by Shane Warne

Its good to get back that winning feeling!

I was really proud of the boys today, we gave away the initiative but worked hard and got it back for a great win.

Batting first, Watto lead us beautifully with his 50, unfortunately we didn't capitalise and only made 6 /29 off the last 28 balls. We knew this left us short of what we needed.

Going out to field, I reminded the guys we have never lost after making 150 or more batting first and I didn't want that to change tonight, especially with bragging rights against Gilly and Symmo up for grabs again and the finals on the line.

Gilly came out and took it to us straight away to put us under immense pressure. With Sharma batting superbly we knew we had to do something special.

Yusuf had done very well bowling 2 overs for just 3 runs but we were leaking at the other end. Getting Gilly out in the 5th over helped to slow them down but we knew we were still in trouble.

At the first strategic time out, I spoke to the boys about the importance of this game and about how winning the big moments win matches.

To their credit, everyone responded well . Sid Trivedi bowled an inspired spell and I managed to find some form to help out which was very satisfying.

I know that this win has helped us regain the momentum we have lost over the past two games and hopefully we can maintain the form to take us to the finals.

Well done guys.
