Another loss and injuries
Two losses and two injuries, this isn’t the start we wanted.
Virender Sehwag was the difference, his innings was a great exhibition of his power and class, it was a shame it was against us! When he is in that mood and form, there isn’t a bowler in the world that can stop him.
After another shaky start, I was very happy with the way Abhishek and Paras Dogra paced their innings to give us a defendable total. We knew we would have to get on top to start with but they gave us a chance.
However, Sehwag just took the game away from us.
The make matters worse, Dimmi and Smithy are out of the tournament with injuries. Smithy broke his finger taking the catch to dismiss Sehwag and Dimmi showed great courage to come out and bowl when he had hurt his ankle.
Also, Yusuf has tweaked his shoulder but he should be OK.
Hopefully this is as bad as it gets and we only get better from here!!
